In record time and with a graphic that maybe someone will remember something, is finally born on my domain DevTV.eu.

Registered in April 2007 and was never used in my intentions, a portal to put my video of a technological nature, inherent in the world of computing and the sciences in general. A kind of YouTube informatics.

Finally after a year of existence is finally born, and publicly accessible and worthily inaugurated this new service, tomorrow, 13 March 2009, will be used, from 21 hours onwards, as a platform for streaming live for WebTV in the town of Atri 's encounter between citizens and we at Micso, for submission to the nationality of the service WADSL territory of Atri and surroundings.

Ten days of absence from the blog is a lot for myself and of course, deep down, why was there and who knows me well he certainly sensed that something was cooking in the pot when we take account of my recent blog post where he announced the creating a theme for WordPress to publish movies online.

I can understand that for some sites, it is difficult to manage certain volumes of traffic.

But a sail for a whole morning regularly without problems on a site which, incidentally, in my opinion not really have many reasons to be under load and that, throughout the morning be annoyed by this message seems to least strange.

In 6 hours?? And what happens in 6 hours? Buy new server? Buy new band? And if you tell me in 6 hours from 6 hours to try again?

All this, I repeat, together with the fact that I surfed all morning on this portal without any problems whatsoever, apart from the continued presence of this troublesome writing.

OK, it's time to unravel the mystery. The site is under attack ... .. drum roll ... .. Microsoft

Eventually, exasperated by this message I decided to make a screenshot and a blog post. Then I would understand if all this was the official site or in the service pack, even under heavy load, but one dedicated to "partner program" is just weird. And anyway ... and everything worked fine.

Anyone who has followed the last post of this blog will have noticed that I started to use a video-sharing platform which I think is quite useful and interesting, viddler.com.
Well yesterday I stumbled in the first "bug" of this portal that made me smadonnare far.
The thing that made me mad for two days is that I could not post videos. Viddler has two ways to upload videos, a flash interface and a classic web form.
Well, two days, the flash interface I download all the movie and then 100% upload them remained crashed, the classic web interface would answer immediately with a melancholy "Sorry but there has been an error uploading your movie."

In two days I tried to upload a bunch of videos and some smaller, seems to work and others do not.
Discouraged tonight I also tried to make an account on another video-sharing portal but I have found another buries because they do not accept the upload file. Flv.
Eventually, tired and resigned, I even tried to post the problem on the forum viddler.com but without, until now, no result.
I also found a post from a guy who had a similar problem but was solved by updating the flash player. I tried to do that too but nothing, also because the error by me even the classic web form.
Eventually I found this forum where a guy says, "I believe I asked that you try to upload again using a shorter file name." Use a file name "short"? Well, actually most of the files that I try to send their name, surname and title of the Rapporteur's talk, and are therefore longish. We try to rename and booom works.
But God bono, you can write something like (xxx max chars in filename) instead of making a poor man crazy 2 days.
So, if you use viddler.com, remember, do not upload files with names too long, however long, I only know those viddler.
